#MyMomAlwaysSays: "How's that working for you?"
Now this is one she borrowed from Dr. Phil, but gosh, is it a great hard-hitting question.
When you’re white-knuckling a problem or struggling or stuck or you can’t see the light in a situation...I’ll ask you with some tough love, “How’s that working for you?”
When the answer is, “Not great” I’ll then ask you, “So what do you plan on doing about it?”
And that’s where the magic happens.
We know in our hearts and in our bellies when something isn’t right for us.
But so many of us shy away from taking action or making the necessary moves to change or better our situation--this applies to so many things in life and we’re all guilty of doing it, myself included.
If today you’re reading this and struggling in one or a few areas of your life, then I’m asking the question TO YOU: How’s that working for you?
So what do you plan on doing about it?
Once you answer those, I hope that you’ll find the willingness and strength to make the necessary change and that you give yourself grace in the process.
